Seattle’s Hotel Washington, known as the Denny Hotel when it opened in 1890, sat grandly on top of Denny Hill between Second and Fourth Avenues and Stewart and Virginia Streets. The elegantbuilding survived only until 1906, when the western part of Denny Hill was leveled.
